There is far more to light than meets the eye.

Based on a recent surge in scientific research, we now know that Red Light can positively affect the body. The LED panels emit light in both RED and NEAR infrared range. Our skin and body tissues can absorb these photons to produce chemical reactions in the cells' mitochondria to boost energy and regeneration.

How it works.

Photobiomodulation panels work by producing 2 specific bands of light, one at 660nm (visible red light) and the other at 850nm (near-infrared light). The visible red light effectively penetrates the skin while the near-infrared light can travel into deeper tissues, organs and joints. 

The light helps the cells produce more adenosine triphosphate (energy). With this extra energy, the cells can respond better to damage and rejuvenate themselves.

For effective RED and NEAR infrared light therapy treatments, a device should deliver at least 100mW/cm2 at the surface of the panel. Our Lights provide higher than 100mW/cm2 at the surface (approx 3000 watts in total) and maintains strong, effective irradiance beyond 18 inches.

What to expect.

During the session - 

The sensation felt from the red light exposure is subtly warm and pleasant. While you're bathing in the light you can listen to music, meditate or read. The experience is very relaxing and non-invasive. We also provide glasses to protect your eyes from the intensity of the light. 

Results -

As a result of consistent red light therapy exposure, the cells become healthier and perform better, increasing bone and ligament health, and healing in skin and muscle tissue.

After multiple weeks of usage, you will see a difference in the health of your skin. You may notice qualities like appearing smoother, brighter and tighter. Your skin may appear to have more of an even complexion and an improvement in tone, clarity and texture.

For pain management and recovery of deeper tissues, you may notice a reduction in pain and general improvement within 24 hours of initial treatment. For more chronic conditions, it may take multiple sessions before you notice an improvement. 

Red Light Therapy and Pregnancy.

There is only limited clinical studies to support the effective and safe use of Red Light during pregnancy. Although the therapy is extremely safe, as a standard precaution, if you are pregnant or suspect you may be, we recommend you first consult a doctor before booking in for a session. 

 

How it differs from our infrared sauna.

The infrared sauna emits FAR infrared wavelengths between 3000 nm – 0.1 mm, which penetrate more deeply into the body and is more effective as a heat source. Far-infrared light can potently reduce inflammation and increases circulation, improves blood vessel and heart functions, reduces pain and fatigue, and regulates blood pressure.
